Situated in midst of lush green premises of Bank Note Press .Surrounded by big shady and fowery trees ,KV Dewas is a leading educational centre .It is an effective unit of Kendriya vidyalaya Sangathan under the ministry of Human Resources and Development , Govt of India.It is growing rapidly and constantly in every field to achive high target since 1976.

The KV BNP DEWAS Library System consists of a Central Library and  primary section which collectively support the teaching, education and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The Library, besides having a collection of books on  science and social science and humanity  offers library services .

Library Computerization

The Library uses Egranthalaya software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Egranthalaya consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and more than 13020 bibliographic records of books available in the Library, can now be accessed through the Egranthalaya OPAC. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. Records of all the Library patrons have also been created in the Egranthalaya package. The editing and updating activities are in progress.
